Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I already posted this in the "Camillus 72 Clones" topic. Today, this CAMILLUS 72 variation gets added to my collection. It is a CAMILLUS "SWORD BRAND", 3 blade, swelled center, milled liners, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knife. I gave it a cleaning, took some pictures and here it is.

Tommy, I found this in my book, "600 SCOUT KNIVES" by JOSEPH RICHARD KERR.
It's copyright 1997.
I think it's pretty close to describing the above, two blade Scout pocket knife.
***** TF in the description means Tenderfoot *****

The Boy Scout 2 blade pen sold for $39 in 2006. I think this is much higher than most Delrin handled pen knives sold for in 2006. It was an expensive knife, equivalent to $50 now in 2020.

I paid $25 for mine here about 2 years ago, and it's new in box with paperwork. I thought that was a steal. Didn't realize they were that pricey when new. Thinking back, I do know the offiical retailer for the BSA here in my area, a sporting goods store, did have a couple.

Got this Buckmasters-branded Canoe for pretty cheap on eBay recently.
KIMG2727.JPG
I thought the Canoe was ugly and awkward before I got one, but I'm beginning to really like it. It's sturdy, but slim, only having one backspring. These don't seem that rare, so I may just carry this one, since I don't think the box is correct.

Had a thin, too big unprinted silver box with it--is that correct? Or a box seller had laying around? I've seen others sold, and they were in proper beige/deep red Camillus boxes.

Thanks. It was my suspicion that it was not. I don't think Camillus would dare put one of their products in the same box as a trade show giveaway flashlight.

Good evening everyone, picked this 66 up last week. All in all just a good old stockman. The image on the main clip blade kind of made me laugh. Can’t make heads or tails of it. I ::shrug::

It's not an image. It is what we generally refer to as 'spidering'.
