Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I Added this one to my Camillus family today. It is a Camillus Granddaddy Barlow that was released in 2004 as the First Camillus Collectors Club Knife offered in the Camillus Collectors Club Magazine. It has Bone Stag Handles, a Nickle Silver Shield with the double lined Camillus stamp, Nickle Silver Bolsters & pins, and the blade is etched with "2004 Camillus Collectors Club" in script. It is like new with no use. The original owner had ordered this back in 2004 through the Collectors Club Magazine. He kept the knife in a display, and put the original box, tote, and papers in a box. He has just recently moved and can't find the original box or padded zippered tote, but gave me the ones that I have in the photo. He is still unpacking things and says if he finds them he will let me know. The box, papers and padded tote he gave me is actually for one of the 100th Anniversary knives, which he says he also has packed somewhere. But, I really like the knife, and the handles. Here are some photos, and I also have a photo of the original add.

Picked this one up today at a local Sports Card, Comic Book / Video Games/ Collectibles shop that I visit from time to time. It is a No Line Camillus #16 Heavy Equal End Jack.it. 3-5/8" closed with Clip master blade and large pen secondary. Black composite handles with nickle silver bar shield. Blades are stained, with toning and spots, but have great snap and no wobble. The tang stamp on the master clip blade is CAMILLUS over NEW YORK over U.S.A. which was used between 1946 to 1956.

Added a couple to my Camillus Family. I bought these from the same person who sold me the CCC Barlow. Just now getting around to photos. First is a Camillus long line #16, 3-5/8" Equal End Jack. It is like new, shows no signs of being put on a stone and came with the box and inserts. Then Blades have some stains, but no pitting, and have awesome snap. It has the Cabone handles with what I think some call a Gimp Shield?
Cam LL 16 eej_a.JPG
Cam LL 16 eej_b.JPG

Next is one I thought I would never get a chance to find. a Camillus Cyber Knife II pattern CY2. This one is like new, doesn't have any signs of being sharpened, but does have some flecks on the edge of the green mother board handles. These were produced from 2000 to 2001 and about 5000 were produced. There have been some fakes produced, I believe this one is authentic, mainly because I know the person I got it from, the rivets look to be correct and pattern on the circuit board seems correct from what I've seen on other cy2. I've looked at several photos of the CY2 and there are a few variations of the printed circuit board panels that I've observed. One with the large Zeros, small white zeros, and rectangles (like on the pile side of my knife) I've seen, with some on the mark side instead of the pile side. Most of the fakes I've seen, you could tell were used circuit panels that had been cleaned. but..... i am no expert and if any of the experts here want to give their input I would greatly appreciate it.

Just got this one in the mail today--nice bone handled 72. It had some rust and the main blade didn't snap well, but a little lubrication and some steel wool, and it cleaned right up! Snap is good now, too. It's definitely a user, but the blades are pretty full and it'll last a long time...
