Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Thanks Dimitri! I thought that's what they were when I saw the picture of it but when I got I reallly couldn't see any grain to it. I'll have to re examine it.Miller Bro's wrote:Greg, the handles are jigged wood.gsmith7158 wrote: So it's a 4 line tang stamp and I'm guessing that this is some sort of pre delrin composite for handles. Anybody know for sure?

Tommy, no not rehandled they came from the factory with horn though they are much rarer than the jigged bone ones. I have seen another one in smooth horn but it was in bad condition.

That one ought to be in a gamblers boot or a soiled doves garter. What a classy old knife. Thanks for sharing.FRJ wrote:Here's a four line, lockback, swing guard. 4 5/8" closed.

Picked up this stockman, usually I don't care for synthetic handles but I like this one, well made knife that would make great carry knife.

Thanks to Knifeslinger I now have 3 new Camillus knives. Here is one of them a 23.

I really like that knife, Doug. You mentioned elsewhere that it's pretty plain to look at but I think it's a stunner. Gorgeous knife!Doug51 wrote:Thanks to Knifeslinger I now have 3 new Camillus knives. Here is one of them a 23.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
Jerry, that is a beauty.
I've got a couple of those Yellow Jackets in different forms. They are nice knives.
Doug, you are going to love that 23. They are hell for stout.
I have two of them from different time periods. Muskrat Man recovered them for me.

Yes sir. The 23 is a fine knife. Either in it's original state or as a canvas for modification.
