Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I use Ballistol Universal Aero for this (I don't know if it's available in the US).
It dissolves rust well, is harmless to the human body and is an antiseptic. I always process all the purchased old knives with it.

Ballistol is indeed available in the States. Sounds like it's good stuff, too!

Nice old Streamline ! Would pop those celluloid covers off before the brass liners are junk ! Have several of these and the covers out gas so bad they will ruin other knives if close by . The covers have 4 little tabs holding them on and pop off easily.

I have it sitting in an old timer box I had away from everything, I plan on that , but I sold my home and bought another. So I am
packing up everything, I have way more stuff now after 25 yrs in this house. I was really wanting to get on that knife and another one but this house sold faster than the roadrunner. But yes I hear ya on the handles,in a couple of months after I have to rearrange furniture 5 friggin times to please the little lady, I see it all coming,,,, Have a good one buddy

That's a good one, Jim! ::tu::

Here are a couple of Camillus knives with two of my favorite man-made cover materials: yellow synthetic and Micarta.

I'd like to get one each of the other Yello-Jaket models, if ever I can find them.

The 27 was repaired by HerbVa. He did an excellent job!
