camillus #72

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Mike, from what I’ve seen, you and I have similar tastes in knives. We’re both fans it seems of CASE 6375s, etc…

Just looking at a CASE 6375 and a Camillus 72, you’d think the two are so far apart that they wouldn’t appeal to the same person. But….

There’s just something about the 72, I can’t explain it, but the size, frame shape, blade layout, etc… it just works. A CASE 6375 and a Camillus 72 are probably my two most carried knives.

Yep, Wade, I definitely love my Case 75 ...which is quite different from the Camillus 72. I carried it today at work, and gotta say I really like the small clip blade on the end. Don't think I have another knife with a blade like that. Pretty useful. Did not really find a use for the little coping blade yet, bit I am sure it will come in handy at some point.

I love the small Clío for most things. Especially delicate cuts. Of course the coping blade really shines when making god flat or square cuts in wood. Like I said, I prefer the Camillus 72 in the wood shop better than about any other pocket knife.

Ol Cuz there started me on my addiction. There's not much about the specs of the 72 that would match any of my likes. but the moment I got one, it was love at first sight.
