Very knice. Love the shell pullers. Great work.
Re: Hubertus shell puller
man i bet that cost some money to customize , not sure why a knife anyone would want a customized Hubertus shellpuller when you can still buy shellpuller models direct from factory , they are not rare or hard to find as some sellers advertise them to be.
Re: Hubertus shell puller

Re: Hubertus shell puller
How could you possibly compare a remake with a original. Impossible
Re: Hubertus shell puller
clearly you dont have a clue what you are talking about , the otter messer Hubertus knives are same great quality as the older Hubertus knives as they are made on same stamps and tooling and to same specifications . i have collected Hubertus knives since 1989 , i have been dealing with the company since 1990 , i have bunch of older models as well as new otter-messer models and there is no difference they are same great quality as in past so anyone stating the new ones are not as good quality as old ones is just blowing steam cause you clearly dont know what your talking about. maybe you bought a bunch old ones and overpaid for them so trying to get money back invested is why you trying to knock the new ones ??? anyways i guarantee the new ones are just as good as older ones really not much difference other than appearance .
Re: Hubertus shell puller
also otter messer does NOT have any authorized repair/customization centers in usa , maybe bill got a certificate from Henning Ritter 20 years ago but he is not authorized by new otter-messer company to do repairs or customize otter-messer Hubertus knives.
Re: Hubertus shell puller
i will give credit where credit is due , Bill definetly does awesome work he is one of the best for this type work . ive had many knives restored by him and all are of top quality workmanship .

Thanks Dale, certainly out of character for AAPK. Thanks for taking care of this.
Re: Hubertus shell puller
Nice job!
I'm wondering, are shell pullers really something no longer necessary? It has been explained to me that with older black powder shotguns and paper shells, once fired, they'd often swell up and require such a tool to take them out.
I've also noticed that 20GA ones are pretty uncommon--I've mostly seen bolster-mounted shell pullers only for 12 and 16 gauge.

Re: Hubertus shell puller
A lot of the old European doubles didn't have ejecters but only lifters. So with the paper hulls the shell pullers were pretty handy. A tool of the past for sure but pretty nifty.cody6268 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 2:23 pm Nice job!
