Hubertus Knife Identification Help

Post by toddhead »

My father-in-law, who had a decent size knife collection, recently passed away and I have been asked to sell the collection in order to help my mother-in-law. I have done my own research on all the knives and in doing so fell in love with this Hubertus and want to buy it for myself. (She would give it to me without hesitation if she knew I wanted it, but I want get her as much money as possible.)

I am not selling this, but I would love to know as much information as possible and how much it is worth so I can put aside the money for her. I just can't seem to find out specific details about it, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your knife was made from 1949 - 1990 since the blade is marked West Germany . I would tend to think that it was made in the late 1980's based on the bone handles . The value would be based on the size , so we would need to know the length (closed) to determine the price . The value would probably range from $100 - $150 .
