Re: Krupp Ironworks Commemorative
This is an old thread and the pictures seem to be gone. Anyway, I just got this Hubertus Krupp ironworks commemorative which I like a lot. I just wonder if it is a new release of the old one. If old Krupp ordered these knives for his 100 year jubilee than the knife should be made in 1975! But it looks brandnew and the blade is etched on both sides. For NOS it looks ot tad too fresh to me. Any insights?
Also I wonder if really Krupp cast steel was used for the blade or is this just a marketing gag?
It reads "Friedr. Krupp Essen 1875 - German quality (made) from Krupp-steel" on the mark side and on the pile side "Cast steel - carbon steel - W.-Germany - Hubertus Solingen"

Hi James! I´ve got it from german knife shop:

They should have some left but I am not sure if it is a remake of the old Krupp one. It´s good Hubertus quality anyway.
