VINTAGE QUEEN 2-BLADE CONGRESS IN WINTERBOTTOM

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Post by mrwatch »

from my trip, antique mall find. Queen #15 Half Congress - 2 Blades - Winterbottom Bone Handles - No Cracks - Queen Steel Tang Stamp - No Etch - Made in 1957-1960 - Nickel Silver Bolsters - Brass Liner. This knife has a 3 11/16th″ Blade, 1 9/16th" blade and is 6 3/4" OAL open, and is 3 3/8th closed. Hope my description is correct.

mrwatch, that is the way I like to find 'em. My avatar shows 2 #49 Queens, same stamp, one is almost mint, the other rides with me most days. That old Winterbottom bone from that era has such a "comfortable" color when it bleaches out from use. Thanks for sharing that one! ::handshake::
