Queen 37 Stockman with Punch

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Thanks Ken. I wish it was in better condition. I'll keep my eye out for a better one but this 37 pattern doesn't come by that often.
I'd love to find one with bone handles instead of Delrin.

I think delrin came out in 1960.

Queen actually started using it around 1960 when they ran out of Winterbottom bone.
The tang stamp is circa 1958-60 but the knife is probably from 1960.

I wonder if you could find one with Winterbottom Bone that was damaged and swap the handles out with this one?

A question about Delrin handles: Were there 2 different colors of the imitation Winterbottom handles? The pattern #37 Bruno just posted is either red or brown, where most handles of that material seem to be black. ::shrug::

Early on, Queen had a problem with the dyed Delrin turning purple or orange. This 37 is neither but is closest to orange.
I'll see if I can find an orange one in my collection and post a pic.

This will give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I don't think it would be worth it. Easier to find a better one.

I love that stock knife on a serpentine frame with a punch!!! ::tu:: Yours is a Beauty bdev!! ::groove::
Here is a Catt. that I believe has been altered from what I have been able to find out according to the pattern # stamp. This one rides in my pocket everywhere I go!!! I have been talking the Bill Howard to see if add this knife as a SFO on his next run of the #82's. The Turkish clip and slightly oversized sheepsfoot along with the punch hit all the right buttons for me!! ::ds::
