Queen Casein
Queen Casein
Can anyone tell me when this knife was made?
I have a hard time trusting someone who doesn't like dogs...but if my dog doesn't like someone, I'll trust that.

Based on the tang stamp it was made approximately between 1925 and 1933. Good looking knife.

These were made in the 2000s. Frank powers is currently the dealer for this line.Quick Steel wrote:Based on the tang stamp it was made approximately between 1925 and 1933. Good looking knife.
Here's a photo from the web showing the box.

No worries. Here's some info on the Classics: http://www.queencutlery.com/Queen_Classics.html The Queen Classics were run by the Daniels family before they owned Queen and led to the creation of GEC, according to the link. They made a cattle knife with Casein covers that was also quite nice. I had a whittler with stag covers from this line. Frank is now the dealer for the line and he has a member store here on AAPK.

That is one spiffy looking knife. I wasn't aware of Casein, and there it was across the ditch from where i live. I thought they only produced sheep and butter. Now i find out they are doing something very special with their milk and enhancing knives. Good pick-up my friend.
Tony.
