Here is the Queen Large Hunter I got in the last Roundtable

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

Here is the Queen Large Hunter I got in the last Roundtable

Post by Redrummd »

Here is what I did with the Queen Hunter I got in the last roundtable. Edgy 46 was kind enough to send me the knife. I had not used any knives from Queen as I was concerned that the D2 would suffer from all of the water and I really HATE etches. So, I found that Queen etches are shallow and the etch was gone in less than 5 minutes total with a fine scotchbrite wheel.

The D2 suffered no ill effects from the water spray.

I was so impressed with the knife that I have ordered more of the Queen large Hunters to use for some of my stoneworks. They have the largest scales of any knife I have worked with so they are ideal for really large works. In addition the bolsters have a nice curve to them from the factory and they are short for the length of the knife. Both of these features make the knife easier to work with on my equipment.

The apple green Nephrite Jade is from British Colombia.

Very nice, lots of class. From a hunter to a gentleman's knife.
