Boker Scissors Box

Post by Old Folder »

Thought I would share an old "H Boker & Co's Cutlery Scissors" box. Unfortunately, it was empty when acquired many years ago :( .
Anyone have any idea of its date?

Judging by the trademark I'd say VERY early 1900s. (circa 1898-1920)

Thank you Neal. ::nod::
I was hoping you'd tune in with some clarification.

That's a great old Boker scissors box, and one I had not seen before. Interesting that it has the same basic graphics of the pocket knife boxes from the same era. It was actually Ricky (rangerbluedog) who posted the time frame on those boxes which I agree with. Here are a couple of pocket knife boxes (on the two ends) which are similar to your scissors box. Note that the one on the left has a large "American" word in the middle of the box, while the nearly identical box on the right has the words "Made in Germany" in small letters at the top of the box.
