Het! Boker Nicker

Post by rangerbluedog »

Did anyone see this little feller sell online recently?
It went for a fairly reasonable price of around $114.
I don't know anything about it, and it wasn't mine. I didn't win it either, but I came close!
Looks like early 1900s to me. The back side of the blade had a deer etching.

Hey Ricky,
I did see this one and I have never seen another exactly like it before. Very unusual for an old H. Boker to be etched on both sides of the blade.
A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).
