Is this H. Boker & Co's Tree Fake or just Pitted

Calling all Boker Pro's,
Can anyone please tell me if this H. Boker & Co's Cutlery, Germany Tree is Real, Fake, Tampered with or just pitted. It looks like it's growing Cotton!! Thanks in Advance for all who Reply!! Sorry, I know very little about Boker's! donjr
