H Boker &Co. Cutlery Germany

Post by montemojo »

I didn't get to work today and went to some antique shops. I found this little jewel for 16.01 I have been trying not to buy any knives lately but could not pass this on up. Only one very small chip missing in the pearl. It has MOP covering the back springs, coined liners, and mostly full blades. I dont know much about Boker knives but my books tell me its from the early 1900's . Here it is

I think this is my best score of 2017. ::ds::

Congrats on a great steal, Monte! That's a fantastic Boker! Covered backsprings are always sweet. ::drool::

Thanks Dave, I knew it was old and in good shape. I offered 20 bucks. The lady said give me 15 plus tax.

Thanks Mike and Cal, what amazes me is that this 100 year old knife being as fragile as it is remains in such good condition. Whoever had it must have put it up and didn't think of using it. I have seen a few other knives with the backsprings covered in MOP. But the covers were cracked and chipped. This knife was laying in a pile of beaters. I dont know how it survived.
