1994 Boker 125 anniversary knife

Post by rangerbluedog »

Bought this on online. Never been sharpened.
This is the little 8388 stockman with imitation tortoise shell handles.

Boker celebrated the 125th anniversary of the Solingen manufacturing plant in 1994.
They had a special shield on all their knives that year. Bruce Voyles wrote this article in Blade magazine (Nov 1994).

Very nice. Has a neat look to it. I understand those are good quality knives. ::tu::

Boker also manufactured another 125th anniversary knife for 1994: A wood-handled Barlow with etch of the old Boker factory (pictured here next to a Queen Rawhide series Barlow). No shield, but a special anniversary bolster stamp.

I bought this smooth red bone Böker 7474SS Stockman back in 1994. Haven't carried it much because it's just so darned pretty, but it is rock-solid with no gaps in the frame/springs and the blades do not smack against each other. Perfect size for my hands, although I generally carry the slightly larger Case 6375 pattern.

All beautiful!! I almost bought the 2004 135th anniversary trapper but I'm hung up on the old ones.
