Re: Early Boker Knives
Boker prices are through the roof right now. This is the first one I've been able to get in a while. Really happy with it.

You are right, Boker prices are a lot higher this year.

Great Boker models shown on this page, and the last two whittler's from luckydog are very nice.

Re: Early Boker Knives
Another of the Boker family. Tang stamp reads "BOKER / USA and 6005 on the pile side. 1975 Boker catalog lists 6006 and 6007, but with smooth bone handles, I think 6005 is an older production. BOKER / USA was used in 1916 along with VALLEY FORGE stamping. Appreciate any comments.
Re: Early Boker Knives
I have only seen this stamp in charts, and it's said to be "1930s-1970s". However, this is the first I've seen with it. I guess prewar?
About the same size as the USN Utiility, and same blade selection, and also has a bail, but in a teardrop frame.

Thanks j.o. I knew it was old but that is older than what I thought. I’ve got a few more Bokers but probably 60’s/70’s.Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 2:54 pm According to the charts it's US1, 1899-1920. Nice knife. J.O'.

Re: Early Boker Knives
It has the tree stamp too. Do you ever look at the "Tang Stamp Charts" thread under "General Knife Q & A"? Scroll down the first page and you'll find Boker and lots of other stamps and dates. great resource. J.O'.

That first one with the spey and sheepsfoot is plumb amazing. I’d have given my eye teeth for that one.luckydog64 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 4:57 pm Here are couple more H. Boker & Co. Solingen 1869-1944 whittlers.

Re: Early Boker Knives
I'm almost ashamed to post this one. Compared to the other knives shared here, this is a wreck.
Well, yeah, it is a wreck. I actually had it in my junker pile. I was going through there and saw it, so I thought I would take a closer look at it.
Tang stamp reads R&H Boker Cast Steel. I looked through Neal and Ricky's book, but they didn't offer that exact stamp. However, Neal did think it would place in the mid-1800's anyway.
I guess it'll earn a place in the pearl drawer...
