I was pleasantly surprised to find a 2 blade Boker congress in the mix, as this will be my first congress and only my second Boker. Although I'm not a huge fan of all the blade etching that is prevalent in modern knives, I do appreciate how easy it is to identify and research a knife when it's model number is front and center. Or so I thought...
This is marked as 5264 and when I look it up I get absolutely nothing. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
I found this info online if it will help!

Thanks Jimbo.
Good to know it was made in Germany (allegedly)
I'm guessing it's also a newer generation so I was concerned that it may have been chinese.

Boker made some nice Congress patterns. Here's a 3" with some of the nicest bone. It has that 1930's script stamp on the mark side and the tree on the pile side. Half stops and very snappy. J.O'.

If the knife has Solingen on the shield or tang stamp you can rest assured it's made in Germany. Solingen has some very rigid standards in place for any knife maker to be able to use the word Solingen on a knife. If it's not 100% made there it won't bear the Solingen name.

Couple Old bone Boker Congress patterns. Big 4-1/8" and heavy, and a 3-5/8" medium. Two of my favorites. J.O'.

Hello, Jimbo,

I have a congress that I acquired that’s marked Solingen, Germany but it’s missing a shield. Can you give any idea about the age of this knife?

It’s hard for me to say but my guess is probably from the 70’s or 8o’s. Boker doesn’t use a dating system on their knives. Your knife looks in good shape.

“Thank you”. It is in very good shape. I’m going to try and find a replacement shield. I haven’t seen many of the Congress models that have ribbed end caps. I really like Boker knives. I’ve been a Case fan for over 50 years but my interest in Bokers continues to grow.

You might try reaching out to Boker and they might have one for your knife. Or EBay. I tried them for a wiss anniversary whittler I have but they couldn’t help me. Good luck
