2014 Frontier Bone #47 Viper Value?

Post by paulwa »

Howdy all,
Long time lurker, occasional buyer, finally posting to get a little advice on the value of a rare GEC.

I’ve had trade offers that I think may be a little low... I’m just at a loss setting a realistic value for a knife that’s as scarce as this. Only 11 were made from the 2014 production totals.

Would appreciate some guidance if y’all could lend a hand, thanks in advance,

- Paul

Paul, welcome to AAPK!
IMHO, it's hard to put a value on a knife, that only 11 were made and there is no reference to see what they have sold for. Current EBAY prices for GEC 47 models are all over the place. I certainly believe it would be above $300...but; where that number tops out would be hard to say. I think it would bring the most money, as a sale on Ebay. A smooth white bone, from 2014, sold for just over $600...but; that's the only one, I saw, go for over $400. Again...not apples-to-apples comparison. Trade value is probably going to be between you, what you want and what the two of you agree to.
BTW, wouldn't mind seeing pictures of it.

I’m curious what this would get in an auction... but in general I think I’d rather trade this towards one of the rarer pieces that I’m really after.

List it high and wait it out. You can always go down but it would be tricky trying to go up. I'm not a seller so take my suggestion under advisement.
