It will be interesting to see the 86's lined up, each with a different handle and have the owner comment about ant difference with in hand feel.
Stag certainly suits a 'heavy duty' Jack but with some knives jigged bone or ebony wood suits it even more than stag.
I think stag will be the most attractive of all the #86 handles but we need a few collectors with one of every handle to let us know.

Stag 86 came today. I will line them all up for another shot of all of them. I still think my favorite is the Bloodwood. The stag has a better grip but the in hand feel is best on the bloodwood, for me that is.

I was up for one of the stag handled editions of the 86's (I really like the 86's and I really like stag so......) but I was otherwise engaged when the email was sent out and didn't see it until after they were all gone. After I saw the price, I was glad. Wow! ::uc::

At least I got one, even if it wasn't a Stag variation. Love it.

I'm pretty sure the days of getting any GEC multi-blade knife for under $100 are long gone now. ::shrug::

"HEADS UP !" More #86s are going out to dealers this week. Some dealers have not received their first batches yet. GEC did come up short on Stag scales for the #86. GEC made some stabilized white natural bone #86 Oil Field Jacks to fill in the orders. GEC will release a #86 Charlie Waynorth "White Jacks" at Rendezvous 2020. Here is a picture of the new Jack #86 stabilized white natural jack are going around to certain dealers. Don't hold your breath on finding one of these.
