Yes only one. I was so surprised to see them up I didn't even think about the money making angle. Sometimes that will also mess you up if they don't have enough to fill that order, you wind up with nothing.kootenay joe wrote:Greg, did you put only one into your cart ?

Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
No one else is posting about their new TC Barlow. Greg you might be the only AAPK'er with one of these. Kind of a lonely situation. I hope a few more show up but not all from a 200%+ secondary market 'score'.

Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
Why is it ebay flippers scored and only maybe 1 AAPK'er scored ?
I think Greg discovered one helpful tactic: be on the right KSF page a few minutes before release time and refresh the page every 10-20 seconds as countdown gets close to zero. I think this was mentioned for a previous release.

I just snagged one right here on AAPK! And no, I didn't pay $400 for it. Payed what I considered fair since I was late getting one.

Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
Yes I can see that. Just sounded like from everyone's conversation that there was none available. Just trying to point out that maybe you could look on here and find them which you did. Yes I guess READING is hard sometime!singin46 wrote:Not sure what you're saying Kennedy. I did buy it here on AAPK! And I did pay $195! Reading is hard sometimes, I get it.

Man thats nice. Is this the first time they have made one to look old? totally cool idea. I too would like to know your thoughts on it when you get it.
Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
Ok, I'll let you know. Not the first time Charlie has done this in a TC Barlow. He did the first Ancient Barlows three years back, with a bit less age to them, but still had some aging, where the heat treat was left on the bolsters, but no pins are proud of the bolster, on the first Ancients. Those first versions were in smooth Parchment bone, Scratted Parchment bone and something else I can't remember. I didn't get any of those unfortunately.

The other handle was ebony on the 1st ancients. I think it was coined "variated ebony' or something as it was chosen due to its light streaks throughout.

Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
Nice to see these Barlows hitting the street! Thanks for posting yours Perry, and everyone else as well. From the discussion, a little info is in order. Here is a picture of the Original Ancient run, with the various handles, with a New Ancient at the top.
The rest are, counting downward;
- Scratted Bone
- Parchment Bone
- Variegated Ebony (lighter)
- Soup Bone (very few of these made)
- Variegated Ebony (darker)

Here is a shady photo of my 2018 Ancient between a 2015 Ancient and a 2ot. A recreation of that dark 2ot bone would look pretty fine.
Re: Ancient saw cut muscatine bone #15
Greg, I just choose what I personally like! It is rewarding to know that so many people and I agree on those choices!!
