Where can I pre-order a #46 Whaler?

GEC specializes in highly collectable and premium quality usable pocket knives. The company's USA manufactured knives have quickly proven to be a big hit with both collectors and users who seek quality American craftsmanship.

Greg, you could not have received 2 better looking Whalers. Actually every #46 posted so far is attractive ++. GEC workers obviously put a lot of effort into these.
Since we seem to be 'voting' on preference, i think the Desert Ironwood handles make this knife look 'stately', a Royal carry.
The Muscle Bone handles make for a more rugged look, at home with a sailor or longshoreman.
Either would make me happy, but if i could only have one, i'm a Desert Ironwood type of guy. "Morning Governor, i sure like your fancy knife". "Why thank you sailor. You have a good looking knife yourself, rugged, like you."

After suffering a camera breakdown, I am finally back up and running. Here is a shot of my 2 whalers, I'm still trying to decide which I like better.

Rookie, that's a great pair! From what I've seen so far there is a good deal of variation in the color on the Muscle Bone knife handles too. Those were two pretty good picks by GEC. ::tu::

Thanks Gsmith. I don't have many GEC knives, but these 2 are quite impressive. And they're fun to take pictures of!

Well those are two to be proud of. I was going to say they sure are shiny looking. Don't rub em to death now. :D

Unfortunately I appear to be addicted to the whalers now. I find myself searching ebay for older models, and then cringing at the asking price.

$159.00 each and each with a disclaimer. But, apparently not edcs.
Thanks for the heads-up on the newly-released T.V. ivory.

I'm really not sure why I did this, perhaps it was just the fact that I happened to be there when they were available and the electric atmosphere of a frenzied Knife release but I bought two more of these Whoppers last week.

Greg those are 2 awsome examples. Don’t feel bad I did the same thing with the ironwood :D . I’m still trying to decide if want to sell one or not. I did get lucky enough to get a muscle bone and an iron wood. It was a lot of fun trying to hunt them down!

Rookie, Greg, great Whalers!

Greg, I did the same thing and ordered a second muscle bone, hard to resist and who knows when GEC will run them again.

Robbobus, aka, Rob, picked up a Muscle bone Whaler for me. What a fine knife it is. Thank you Rob. The bone surface has a raised area like a sinewy muscle on a skinny older man. Doesn't sound attractive but it is.
Here is Muscle Man and Ironwood Dessert ! Hard to say which i like the best. The ironwood with shield is very nice as well.
