I think we need a new word to cover steels that will rust more easily than the so called "stainless" steels. We say "carbon" steel, but all steels have some carbon. We can say "not stainless" but that's cumbersome.
So the new word: "stainmore"; it's obvious. Some steels stain less, others stain more. "Stainless" has been in common use for about 90 years, so it is time to speak of all the other steels as being a "stainmore" steel.

Sorry Roland, Stainmore is already spoken for. :)

From Wikipedia:
Stainmore is a remote geographic area in the Pennines on the border of Cumbria, County Durham and North Yorkshire. The name is used for a civil parish in the Eden District of Cumbria, England, including the villages of North Stainmore and South Stainmore. The parish had a population of 253 in the 2001 census, increasing to 264 at the Census 2011.

Yeah, I have that, too.
Funny, but I was part of the 438th CRS, only that CRS was Component Repair Squadron.

Edit: correction, it was the 435th, not 438th. ::facepalm:: sad, but it proves my point!
