Beer Scout = 2 blades; sheepfoot + opener/screwdriver combo, correct?

What's the origin of the term "Beer Scout"? Maybe just an adult version of a Boy Scout knife? i.e., "Real men only need to cut stuff, screw things, and open beer bottles... who needs a can opener and a punch?"

I've also seen them called a "Crown Lifter"... two names for the same thing or is there a difference?
