Looks like GEC is going to make another run of my favorite GEC, the 48 Improved Trapper with the Muskrat blade and the Wharncliffe blade. Last time they were made was 2013.

Are you going to try to jump on one from this run too Jerry? You thinking Tidioute or Northfield? ...

I put in an early reserve "maybe" with Mike at CK for the single blade Northfield in bone...will have to wait to see just what color bone that turns out to be though before I pull the trigger.

I would like to but probably not. I already have two and they're pretty stiff for me to add one just to have another. Hard not to get excited about them though.

They are sweet aren't they Roland. If I ever have to divest myself of my pile these will be among the last to go.

I like the Beaver shield ! And i like the long Pen blade secondary on my Trapper Jack. The Wharncliffe looks 'sharp' but i find for all round use it's hard to beat a Pen blade.

I'll never carry either of those. They're just eye candy to me. I love looking at them.

I do like the 48 slims. Glad to see another run and really jazzed to see more bloodwood from GEC. ::tu::

I intend to try to. It's one of my favorite patterns from GEC.

The improved Trapper is my top #1 favorite. The #77 Washington Jack is a very close second and there are several in third place but the #48 Improved Trapper tops the list and I don't even like the Trapper pattern all that much. ::shrug::

A week to 10 days, I'd guess, as they're just now finishing up the single blade ones.

James, they're making the single blade versions right now so if a gun was put to my head and I was forced to guess, I'd guess within the next couple of weeks. If you're really interested, send an email to Barry (Gunstock Jack) and ask him. Since he's a dealer, he probably has a better guess than I do. http://www.gunstockjacksknives.com/

Or go to Collector Knives and put in an early reserve ---> http://www.collectorknives.info/cktools ... hp?pid=114

Edit:  Typing at the same time Glenn

Better stick that here because it won't be at the other end of that link by tomorrow night. Looks more like Chicago Hot Dog green relish green to me.

Green has proved to be popular for some years now, since the Camillus made 'Remington' folders of 1990's ?
Am i the only one who does not like the look of this green on any knife ?

Not the only one. Green belongs on traffic control lights, grass, trees and money.

Not a fan of that green either...if it was a deep olive colored green that would be different, but pickle green does nothing for me. Maybe if they called it jalapeno green I might be more inclined to dig it..

I don't care for it either.I was hoping for something like Calico jigged bone or smooth Calico bone,I haven't seen these two since 2013 when the #92 Eureka Jack came out.

I dig that green (but I always dig green ) and I think it's going to convince me to get a #48 improved. It looks close to my favorite Case #54 and I'd love to have it with a Wharnie blade:

I put in a sure thing reservation on the NF bone, which is likely the pickle green. I may check with GSJ as well since I lost out on the #13 reservation last time. With as many variations on the improved as there are I think the lolly scramble shouldn't be nearly as intense...

I broke down and put in a "Maybe" at Collector Knives. I wanted the Rotten Banana but they were all spoken for by the time I got there, sooo I opted for the Acrylic two blade. It depends on what it is of course, whether I follow through or not. I've liked a good bit of GEC's Acrylic so I'm not too concerned. Time will tell.

They always are. If GEC announces a #15 Barlow run in rotten banana bone I may need to fly to OK and put in a reservation with Mike personally. ::rotflol::

Not the world's biggest fan of acrylic knives but my one GEC, a camo #18, is pretty neat. I just don't have much occasion to carry it so it mostly sits in its tube.

A half dozen of mine are Acrylic and the 2009 89 Pumpkin Patch is the only one I'm a little iffy about.
