GEC DISPLAY

Post by dweb1897 »

I spend more time with my knives than with my books so the books went into a box and I built a display in the top half of the bookcase. The Schrade 2203-3/4 is the Grand Daddy of the Washington Jack and the Painted Pony Kutmaster Lady leg was an early Christmas present my best mate Tony, in Australia. While the bottom half doesn't have any GEC knives, it does have some real beauties. I'd like to thank Tony Moat, Herman Williams and all the others that have helped make this display possible...and a Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The display is very attractive because the cabinet is Superb !
If you ever start a business making display cabinets, i want one. Final assembly up to customer to make shipping less expensive.
The design of shelving 'steps' allows every knife to be seen in full.

My word that's a nice display. I could look at those knives all day and twice on Sunday... ::nod::

It was a pleasure to gift the knife to you Doug. Just a small token of my appreciation for all the work you put into documenting my knife purchases, and shipping them to Australia. You are a good friend, and although will probably never meet in this lifetime, we have the advantage of Skype that gets me directly into your work station. It is the same as being there. ::tu::
Kind regards,
Tony.

I want to thank all of you for the kind words. Joe, send me a PM with measurements and pics if you have a bookcase...I'm not going into business any time soon but maybe I can find some spare time. Tony, it's a pleasure getting to handle all those knives I ship, but having a friend that has a passion for knives tops that..and I can think of one big disadvantage of you not being here...I can't pour you a shot of good American Bourbon. And speaking of good Bourbon, I'm hoping to tip one or two with a few forum members this April at the Oregon Knife Show.
