I've Been A Baaad Boy.....

Post by jerryd6818 »

It's going to be beans and rice for me next month but isn't that what charge cards are for? They delay the need to be responsible and let us feed that instant gratification demon that lives inside us.

Enough philosophy, lets talk about a knife. I don't recall what the trigger was but last night about 8:00, I fired up Google and went looking for a GEC #563211 Weaver Jack. It must have been fickle old fate showing her ugly head because there it was, the very first Google response. Oh my God. The trumpets sounded, the angels sang. Pictured there was 3½" of beautiful stag and steel. I was solidly hooked.

And the waiting begins. ::pace::

Seller's pictures of course.

Scott, hesitation was not in my vocabulary last night. ::facepalm:: I looked this morning and buyers remorse wasn't there either. ::woot:: The only thing I saw was a grocery list and all that was on it was beans and rice. :lol: :lol:

Well if you're gonna do it, do it right! I think beans and rice for a month will be well worth it. Congrats on a great knife, Bud! ::tu:: ::tu::

I don't know what you'd say but I'd say, "Damn! Why did I marry such ugly women?"

Wow Jerry, that is one gorgeous hunk of stag and steel. You, know, the situation you describe is exactly why I try not to look at Ebay after the third beer! I might not be able to control myself: and the sad thing about my love of beer and knives is that I usually do not have a lot of regrets about spending money on either!

Great buy - we need more photos when it arrives.

I had a feller tell me one time there weren't no such thing as an ugly woman!

I suspect he was a mite teched!

But that is one looker of a knife!

James, love the little knife gauge image. ::tu::

I try to keep enough in a five gallon can in the trunk to get me to the next station but sometimes the gauge is on "get out and walk" and the reserve won't slosh when you shake the can. When I really want to go anyway, I have to break down and call Mastercard for a ride and pay the piper later.
