It appears that it was hacked. All of the members were deleted including me, and I was the admin that started the page.

Have you contacted Facebook to work with them to get things straightened out? when I use the original link above it shows as I am still joined to the group just that it is closed, if it was hacked they should be able to correct it.

I did. I was told that all of the members, even me, were removed and that the only thing to do would be to start a new group. I'll be 70 in a few months and I'm not sure that I want to go through the hassle,
