My GEC afternoon....

Post by jmh58 »

So.. This is an area on here that I never visit.. I do own a few but really had no interest of GEC knives.. BUT...............

So this am I found myself in Franklin, Pa which is 35 miles south of Titusville.. With nothing to do I decided to go and try to find the GEC factory.. So with stopping at the Titusville PD for directions I found it!! As I walked thru the door I was greeted by a young lady (Sorry.. Did not get her name) who asked if I would like a tour or visit the store.. So off she went and a young man (Chris) appeared and opened the store.. Store first where a 99 Ant Greenbone Wallstreet was selected and put into my bp.. After the sale was completed I asked about a tour.. Chris said no problem and off we went.. Now the way the factory is set up you view the factory floor from a 2nd floor thru glass.. 2hr later we finished the tour and to say I was impressed is an under statement.. Two kool things I thought about GEC knives (maybe a billion) is that the bone for the handles is from cows in the USA and not over seas and they pin their shields on.. Oh Yeah and they use as much USA materials as the can!! There is a lot more but I am running out of a clear mind!! John :D

John, which blade is in that 99 Wallstreet? Clip, Spear or Wharncliffe?

That should sufficiently confuse those who come late to the party.
