Yeah, they're probably about to ship. Blade pull is a comfortable 5-6 and not a nailbreaker by any means.cbnutt wrote:They look great ! hows the snap on them ? the indian paint brush is looking good on there site, guess its not out to the dealers yet or the stag ?

Oh my soul. They just had to do this! That Turkish clip, the right size! Unless they've blasphemed and made it in stainless, I must have one!

Cuz, I may have to get one of these and I don't even like the stockman pattern. For me, it's the size, the Turkish clip AND the sheepcliffe blade. And is that spay blade saber ground? Now if they had stuck in a spear pen in place of that spay blade..... Just stick a fork in me, I'd be done for sure.

Jerry, the spey isn't a spey at all, it is a little drop point blade. I really like the blade configuration overall; I just sharpened up my maroon linen model and it is a sweet slicer! Pointy, though, so watch out! The size is perfect for my hand and it opens easily, a plus for me these days.

Re: new Dixie stockman
Thanks Barry. I noticed it doesn't have the profile of a spay blade but thought it might just be GEC's version of one. Actually the thought that crossed my mind was it looks more like a junior version of the Sodbuster blade, another of my least favorite blades. The saber grind is what saves it for me.

So far, I haven't seen one posted. I looked around and discovered the #82 in Natural Stag is going for $155.
