Re: #92 Eureka
I just bought my second #92 Eureka Jack antique goldenrod knife, just now. The three left
were so beautiful I could hardly choose. As soon as I closed out on Pay-pal , all three were gone. I got this one by the skin of my teeth.

Re: #92 Eureka
Thanks Mark. I did not see your 'heads up' regarding GP knives until hours too late. Still am not seeing any dealers posting available Camel 92's, or even recently received and now sold ones except for GP knives yesterday.
This is the strangest GEC release ever. Were there only a relatively small number of these made and so this is it ? Or does GEC still have a few hundred to ship ? and if so, why the hold up ?
So far the only way to get one has been to be on your computer or 'device' when an email notification comes in and you can get to that dealer's site within about 60 seconds. I have been working outside so do not see these notifications until hours old.
Are there more coming ?

Re: #92 Eureka
I think these last ones will be the last of the Camel. Just from the emails from dealers it sounds that way.

Re: #92 Eureka
O.K., but these 'last ones' still do not seem to have shown up which seems odd as the first ones were sent out over 2 weeks ago.

I am not positive, so don't hang me if i am wrong. But i think i read on a dealers website that GEC would be closed for a while and not sending out any stock.kootenay joe wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 10:10 pm O.K., but these 'last ones' still do not seem to have shown up which seems odd as the first ones were sent out over 2 weeks ago.

Re: #92 Eureka
This is correct. Every year, at least over the past several years, they all take a week off in early Oct, and shut down the plant. The stag's started to drop yesterday, they went fast at the first dealer to sell them, Knife Connection. I snagged this one.

Re: #92 Eureka
That Stag #92 Eureka Jack is killer. The #86 oil jack sambar stags with be out soon. This wonderful knife needs an older brother. I bought 4 GEC#92s and I am hungry for some #86 Jacks. 2019 has been a good GEC year. You have a great new knife , enjoy it !
Re: #92 Eureka
I am quite happy with my 2 remaining 92s from the 2nd run. Looking forward to my camel bone eventually.

Re: #92 Eureka
Those were from 2013. The "recreational purchasing" days. I debated myself for at least 2 weeks, if not a month before buying the stag off the TSA knives website. The shield really works on the 92 stag imo.
Re: #92 Eureka
Yeah I wish I had seen those days. Now they are gone in 2 minutes.

Re: #92 Eureka
Got lucky yesterday and picked up a #92 in stag from KSF. That completes my collection of all five. I will post a pic when I get the stag. I don't know why, but I have an obsession with trying to collect every cover of the knives I like.
Re: #92 Eureka
You're not alone my friend. I delayed when they were available and now am watching for an OD green 66, someday. I was able to get all the recent Dixie and on payday I'll finish the set of 29's with an Osage orange, if they're still in stock.
Hello, my name is Trace and I have a problem.

I had an odg 66 and sold it not too long ago. I still have a primitive bone though.
