And here's the rest of them. These SFOs by Charlie are built very well and pretty close to custom for a production knife.

Got my first Farmers Jack (or Rooster) - really like the old time, nostalgic thoughts that this knife evokes in the dim recesses of my memory. Really nicely done knife - fit and finish is excellent - AND BEST OF ALL - the pull is about perfect from my perspective - about a 4 - 5 opening on each blade - and nice, positive closing snap - none of that famous GEC thumbnail busting, finger cutting, cussed pull that I have on a couple. 2 new Northwoods Broadway Jacks made on the GEC #15 frame. There were around 100 made of each.

I almost feel guilty about getting the better end of this swap...but, Big Monk, being the true Southern Gentleman that he is, allowed me to be the beneficiary of his generosity and largesse. I doff my hat to you in appreciation and respect, good sir.

Barry told me he has an SFO coming in the new #15 Beer Scout pattern. It's going to be handled in Brazilian Bloodwood with Robeson style shield (bow-tie or gimp).

I've become infatuated with the Beer Scout and discovered the yellow ones (Sunbrite Acrylic) glows in the dark. It is the same material as the Nifebrite Acrylic but coated with yellow on the back. There will be two bone versions, smooth ivory and chestnut sawcut. Ebony and cocobolo will also be available.

Yes Jerry, I have two already paid for and on the way, sunbrite and tortoise shell acrylic. With smooth bone coming in sometime next week. Also going to get one of Barry's SFOs whenever they pop! Also have a TC in Evergreen coming in any day. Also, there will be Soda Scouts as well in Micarta and other materials I wasnt interested in.

I haven't seen and didn't know about the Soda Scouts.

Barry thought his shipment would show up yesterday but since it didn't, maybe today. At first I was going to get one of the yellow acrylics but now I'm leaning toward a smooth white bone. ::shrug::

Hey Jerry

I have many of the GEC knives, including some with sunbrite covers. For what its worth, in my opinion, the tortoise shell is the most desirable of the covers released to date. To me, the shield looks best on the tortoise.

That said, if you don't have one of the glow in the dark (heat activated) covers, this knife would be very cool too.

Yup.

habitant400 - Glad you're happy with the acrylic tortoise shell but that's part of my problem. I'm more of a natural material kind of guy. ::shrug::

Perry, I have a half-dozen Acrylics but right now, it has to be pretty special to add another.
