New #73 Peach

Post by BuckeyeSchatt »

New Northfield #73 Antique Peach Seed Bone. I've been watching this one on Knifeswappers website for a long time I finally could'nt take it anymore. This one has a serial number, it is #14 I checked out the 2009 production numbers on GEC site and it looks like, for what it's worth, they only produced 19 on these babies. Man this is going to be a tough decision as to carry this one or not ::shrug:: ,I'll have to think on this one a day or two? :? Thanks again knifeswapper for great price and service.

Hey Big M, I'm not Buckeye but I know the answer to your question.
It's a slipjoint, and a very beautiful one at that. 8)

That's a beauty, Buckeye! Tough decision to make, better you than me. The 73's are my all time favorite GEC pattern, but it's a toss up over the single blade slipjoint or single blade liner lock. Come to think of it, I like the jacks and trappers too! ::dang:: Click the pict for a close-up look.

No it's a slip joint big monk.Look at the picture with the white lid it has #735109 written on it, if it would have the #735109L it would have been a liner lock, these numbers are also stamped on the tang.

Gunstock you have some beauties there as always. I have four 73's now but this is my first slip joint and I have to say I like it better than my liner locks because it is a little thinner and feels better in my hand.
Sorry about that johnny hope you beat me to next nice one. That's the problem with these darn GEC's is I like and want them all. :D

I really like the bolster pattern on that one. It is a bit different than the usually plain smooth bolsters.

That is nice. ::tu:: Kind of looks like the bolsters on the Schrade Fire and Ice trappers they did.
