2010 GEC Open House

Post by Darksev »

According the the GEC Website, it's July 16th and 17th this year, which is rapidly approaching. I stopped up towards the end last year and it was a neat visit. This year it falls on one of my on-call weeks, but I'm going to see about switching out a few days with a coworker.

I know last year it coincided with the Queen show down the road, not sure about this year. Anyone have more info?

I live in the center of IL. So I have many miles to get to GEC's open houses. I made it for 2 years (2007,2009) so far and loved it that GEC and Queens show ran at the same time. I went to both factorys or show each day. For some unknown reason I spent more money at GEC....??

Speeking of money best to take more than you plan on spending..!!! ::nod::

Have fun with the men and ladies that work at GEC also.

Hey guys,
we ran up to GEC today and met David Anthony, it was nice meeting him and his wife, very nice couple, o'yeah beautiful knives. ::drool::

My Mom surprised me with a beautiful yellow rose improved muskrat, it's been in my pocket ever since, it reminds me of her every time I use it. (not that I wouldn't remember her otherwise) ::paranoid::
Any how, I'm blessed to have such a loving family that supports my knife habit. ::tu::

I got some pics, but I'm not sure how great they are, I'll go through them and check later.
Post pics later.

Folks,

Knife people are the BEST. I meet some wonderful people from all over the Country on Friday. All were super friendly and I throughly enjoyed thier company and conversation. GREAT knives too. The gang GEC is top knotch in my book. The book signing was great fun and even my wife commented about how friendly all were. She enjoyed it as well. Let me know what you think of your copy of the book and if you didn't get one, the limited edition hardbacks are just about all gone. ONly 100 available so call Chris and get yours NOW!!!!!!!!

Keep in touch
