GEC & the Wounded Warrior Project

Post by Vince Roberts »

Hey Guys, Wanted to alert everyone that GEC and the owner of TSA Knives are trying to do something special for our Veterans.

They have selected a great cause - The Wounded Warrior Project and they need our help. If you are not familiar with the Wounded Warrior project take a look here and get up to speed -http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org

This is a cause that all of us should be aware of - coming up on the Holidays the folks that staff this and other Vet related organizations will be working very hard to help our Veterans - you can help by going to TSA's Blog here - http://blog.tsaknives.com/2009/10/20/bi ... ckage.aspx - and place your Bid on a One of a Kind Great Eastern Cutlery knife along with some really nice extras donated by Greg at TSA Knives.

100% of the Proceeds of our effort (the Winning Bid) will be Donated to the Wounded Warriors Project.

I have placed a Bid so I am throwing down a challenge to all GEC collectors to top it! ::tu::

Thanks in advance.

Wanted to say Thanks to those that have already visited the Blog link and Bid on the Donation Auction.

Also, if you can't Bid please take a moment to at least drop a line to Greg at TSA Knives and/or Ryan and Ken at GEC and just say Thank you to them for their dedication to the cause. Recognizing a good deed is important in today's society when we are bombarded with negative info every day.

You may send a Thank you email to Greg at - tsaknives@gmail.com

Email Ryan and Ken at - rdknives_9685@hotmail.com

Thanks to you all and to Bryan for allowing me to post this here. Keep the Bids coming.

Greg from TSA Knives here and want to say thanks to those of you that have jumped in on the Wounded Warriors auction. I personally feel it's a great cause and it makes me feel good that so many knife 'nuts' have taken an interest.

I need to make a correction regarding who's responsible for getting this going. I came up with the idea and put this together after workng with Chris at Great Eastern. Chris alone committed to helping to share the cost with me and I'm not even sure if Ken and Ryan know about this yet!! (They probably do now!!!) At any rate, just want everyone to know that Chris, Patty, Pat and a whole lot of other folks behind the scenes do a great deal to make things happen and too often go unrecognized for their efforts.

(AND, just a little inside info, I know for fact that they're a bunch of chocoholics!!)

Thanks to everyone behind the scenes!!!!

Just a reminder that the bidding ends Saturday nite at midnite CST for the Wounded Warrior package. I got the actual knife in yesterday and put up pictures of the knife and the items in the package if you'd like to take a look http://blog.tsaknives.com/2009/10/28/wo ... 03109.aspx. Thanks to the folks willing to bid (up till now) on a package they haven't even seen or knife that didn't even exist yet!!!

The last I checked the bidding was up to $150 by a retired Marine. Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard.... a little friendly competition within the ranks is always good gang!!!
