Has anyone gotten a Churchill in the maroon linen micarta??

I've not seen one posted in the annals of this forum by anyone, though it
is possible I completely missed it. . ::shrug::

Also, the only pictures I have seen of that particular version has been GEC's own stock photograph.
That's here on the AAPK stores, the usual GEC distributors, and fleabay . . . .
How do they look in hand?

I have never had linen mic , so I have questions regarding durability for actual edc use.

Would anyone be willing to accept a USPS M/O as payment!

Micarta is tough stuff. Bark River makes a great many knives with Micarta handles as do custom knife makers of fixed blades & folders. I think Micarta is one of the most durable of all knife handle materials.

Nice looking knife, great set up there T Wood. Congrats. Also welcome to AAPK, just noticed the date you joined. Always like to see some new blood, new knives. Good to have you around. Keep the cool pics coming.

::welcome:: to AAPK from one Tony to another! ::handshake::

You sure did kick things off in style. That big ol' toe jack is a gem, and I'm glad to see it's been used instead of put away in a safe. I think you'll find a lot of appreciation for that knife and for lots of others if that one is indicative of your taste for cutlery. ::tu::

Thanks TONY!
I love this knife. It should come with matching suspenders for edc pocket carry. I look like a young’un with one side of my pants sagging.

I'm not sure how I forgot to post one of my favorite and most-carried GECs for all this time. I paged back through the thread and I noticed that this particular knife didn't get much love at all. For a while this was my default watch pocket carry, the brown camel bone 18 Coyote.

Here's my other favorite from the 18 line, the Beagle in Oil Sucker Rod Wood. This is probably my favorite GEC wood offering ever. I wish they'd do more but who knows just how many 100+ year old rods they managed to acquire prior to this run. ::shrug:: Some folks swear if you rub your finger on the handles hard enough you can still smell the oil.
