I should get my first GEC late this week or early next.

It is a #73 in Mexican Bocate (or something like that)

I can see however that I must have a #25 or two and a Cuban or two as well!

Those equal enders with some "meat on the bones" really turn me on!

I am not sure it is my favorite, I typically don't care for acrylics, but this one is very nice to me!

Finally bought a Northfield #73 Scout Burnt Stag with Long Pulls ::ds::
It may be a little soon to say it is my favorite knife, but even having it only a couple of days I can say it is easily my favorite GEC! Am I the only one who thinks the Spey blade might be the better of the two, and would make an outstanding choice for a single blade #73?

I've had my Bocate (sp?) #73 Scout now for a month or so.

My Spey has been 'modded' to more of a Spear. It is a bit too large and heavy to pocket so I have a Victorinox holster to keep it in.

Maybe a picture tomorrow or so. Fixin' to hit the sheets!

You Guys must have robbed the Safe on those two Stags. They are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your pics.

I don't have any with the LP's yet, but I like the way they look.

Hill, We left a little in the safe...these barehead 73's were made in 07 and 08...Gen Stag.
Let's hope the supply of stag and their willingness to use it holds up... :)

WelderBob, you keep pulling more and more of these genuine stags out. They're great! They are definitely my favorite GEC handle material. I have a few but it looks like I have alot of catching up to do. I keep losing focus and funds along the way. If you have any doubles you would ever decide to part with I sure would like a chance at them. In the meantime here's a pic of my burnt stags.
left row top down; '06 #73 unserialized unetched spey; '08 #73 single blade; '09 #73 second cut; '09 #61 congress; '09 #25 easy open
right row top down; '09 #23 two blade; '08 #53 stockman; '08 #53 muskrat; '09 #54 big horn moose; '08 #54 harness jack

Thanks Bob! Other than stags, I'm also quite fond of the primitive bones. I've only seen one posted on this thread. A real nice Cuban stockman ::tu:: by LC back on the first page. Anybody else like to collect the primitives or have any comments on em?

That chest of drawers is slick. Did you purchase that or make it yourself? How many drawers are in it and approximately how many knives does it hold? Dimensions??

Just something I knocked together. There are eight drawers about 7 1/2 inches by 17 inches inside dimension, and they hold about 22 knives per drawer, depending on knife size and how close you pack 'em. They are actually 4 separate units that fit inside the shelves in the safe. It makes 'em easy to fondle when I just have a minute or two.

Wow! Those are some awesome knives shown on this link, really superb! I especially like the mammoth ivories that Welderbob and Sauconian showed. Beautiful work by Darksev as well. Just a pleasure to look at everyone's favorites! The 73 and 23 patterns are great. Here's another pattern I like. ::tu::
