Bryan Sanders put this one up recently and I couldn't resist taking it down. Thanks Bryan, appreciate it, one of my fave patterns and a color I've never seen before. Going to a good home.

I think it is a "Pumpkin Jack". Very attractive. The #66 is a nice size with a variety of patterns and so far the prices have remained reasonable.

Not to sound too anal / OCD or anything...but, I noticed that GEC calls it a "Sheepfoot" not "Sheepsfoot"--which is one of The Monkey's little pet peeves when people refer to that style blade.

This has been a contentious issue since i can remember, and i'm old. ::mdm::    I was a kid when i first saw this pattern and have been a huge fan since, it was always a Sheepsfoot, never a Sheepfoot. It was an English Work/Farm/Horticulture style blade, and it was explained to me by my elders that is was called a Sheepsfoot as in the foot that belonged to the sheep, so it could well be just the correct pronunciation. It's like lambswool, it is never called lambwool, it's pronounced as the wool that belongs to the lamb. But you can call it whatever you like, but it was always Sheepsfoot where and when i grew up.

It could also be an America/English thing, i don't know i'm just guessing. The English called them Sheepsfoot, the Americans seemed to call them Sheepfoot, but that is only my observation. ::dang:: ::dang:: ::dang::

Got my first GEC. Very impressive knife. Wasn't sure if I'd like it but for my taste it is a perfect carry knife. It's in my pocket and will be for a long time.

I had thought that Northwoods was made by Queen. I did not know that GEC made any blades with 'holes' in place of nail nicks, but i know Queen did with a "Scagel" line for Northwoods but that was before 2010.
