Probably the usual. Gone are the days when they used have a nice variety of covers from release to release.

I read a Facebook post where Jay from Northwoods confirmed there would be no stag. Unfortunately he did not say what there would be.

Obviously the picture shows red micarta. My guess that there will be a few micarta choices, and there will be at least one from the following list:
Kudu, Giraffe, Mammoth (this is my order of likelihood). :)

Some things just aren't what they used to be, even if the 'used to be' was only 5 or so years ago.

That's a handsome looking knife, I like the bone color and the jigging.

This A.A.P.K 2019 Club Knife #97 Allegheny is ready for shipping, or have they been shipped. Every knife has been halted for Rendezvous 2019. Special Rendezvous 'Store" knives are being made right now. Who knows what they have in store for this weekend. Everybody should go home with a special cool knife.

I made a #29 Snakewood pre-order with my GEC dealer 15 to 30 minutes after GEC posted the #29 schedule. Only half will be made and I was notified that my pre-order has been canceled , the day before the partial release.

I almost passed on the bloodwood yesterday In hopes that I could snag a Snakewood. Glad I didn’t let that one slip by me. The Snakewood is the one I really was hoping to get, and the stag, but that’s a pipe dream.

I bought the #29 Bloodwood yesterday. I used my bonus points and saved $20. Seth Borries of Southern Long-beard Knives won last weeks "Forged in Fire" show. I ordered a fixed "Karen" 5" harpoon clip "black hammered" blade with snakewood scales. He will start making it in November. When GEC fails , I'll still get my snakewood knife.

My first time trying to buy from The Knife Connection. I had a Snakewood in the cart but when I checked out it wasn’t there. Plus all the curly maples were marked “no stock”. Is this common on this site? I’m fed up with waiting until the appointed time and then having my cart emptied before I can check out. This isn’t the only site that does this, but it is this anyway to treat a customer? I mean seriously, how many lost sales would these companies have if they let people check out with the item they added to their cart instead of letting an item you have in your cart go to someone else? Given the high demand, I can’t imagine they would lose any sales. But continuing to treat customers like this will lose sales. I’m getting pretty turned off by this and wondering if it’s worth the frustration anymore?

Mark, i think many of us are frustrated by situations like you describe. I'm sure there are some who use their smart phones with instant messaging etc. and enjoy the challenge of trying to score a special GEC. I think the action mimics a video game and they enjoy the excitement of trying to score more than the knife won. And if they don't want to keep it, flip for a double and make a few hundred $$ every month.
I think the GEC/Northwoods brands have been somewhat taken over by gamers. The difficulty to obtain these knives is not all due to us old fart knife collectors trying to buy a new release. Gamer Invasion !
The #85 Bullet End Jack is a popular pattern, particularly those with an EO notch. They auction on ebay for over $350. But all the ones i have seen have a full flat grind on the Spear Point blade.
Here is 857116EO with smooth autumn gold bone handles and a full saber grind ('full' = both sides). It was an SFO for Mike Latham that i was fortunate to sign up for.

I was lucky enough to get in on the early reserve for the CK 77 SFO. I chose the amber saw cut bone and I received it today. Pretty sweet if you ask me. ::super_happy::
