That Bullet End EZO, LL #85 just looks better and better every time you post it. Beautiful knife. Reminds me of the good ol' days when we could take our time to peruse and select the exact GEC knife we wanted from each run. Sadly, I do believe those days are long gone. But, that smooth ivory bone #85 will always remind me of those days.
BTW: speaking of AAPK members we no longer see around here...that #85 was originally purchased from IMBand, another much missed member from days of yore (I especially liked his avatar with the waving grizzly bear )

Mini moose 66 from 2012. Freshly oiled up and ready to carry this week.

Thanks my friend, it is a beauty and always appreciate the comments on your pass along knives. You're right about the times, those are gone for good, but the knives we scored will last a lifetime and carry many memories of the glory days. Some of my best stuff used to be yours ya know, and glad you like the look, that's some patina doing most of the work. Believe it or not, it somehow seems to get smoother as it ages. The action on this one is one of the best I have with some 77 Barlows I have. They are fluid, dampened, and like they are oiled up even when they are dry. The movement is tight and smooth and so sweet it's a pleasure just to open and close. And the blade is so good for slicing, peeling, coring, scooping, and spreading. Thanks a ton all over again for letting me have it. Will always be one of my top 3 faves probably, and the way the EZO notch fits my ring finger is a delight. Thanks again Q.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 4:53 amThat Bullet End EZO, LL #85 just looks better and better every time you post it. Beautiful knife. Mike, that is another beauty, love that patina, and the jigging is unique to the few GEC I have seen. Great looking knife for sure, oozes character and memories of years of use. Fabulous piece. You should show that more often bud.

Thanks doglegg, enjoy seeing your thoughts. Here's another GEC fave, a Northwoods with Frosted Mini Wheats micarta.

I bought this 77 Barlow in new condition in 2015 and it has been a carry knife since I got it. I’m shocked at how much these are selling for on eBay. I believe I paid $150 for this one. I don’t believe I will ever sell it, but hope I don’t lose it, because I would hate to have to try and replace it. Just look at that stag!

I'm fascinated with the Cotton Sampler. Don't know why just am.

Rose and Thistle, great shots and knives. You too DM. The cotton around that Sampler is a calendar shot for sure. Excellent.

The bullet trapper has been a favorite for a while now.
Hard to beat it.
