I have a piece of horse stall/horse trailer matting. It is made of ground up recycled tires. Several years ago was a popular material for heavy duty choppers and some combat knives. My quandary is what method of attachment do I use to attach these two pieces of rubber matting to a steel handle? I can probably use 5/16" cutlery rivets with a 5/8" shaft but even then I will need to then they handles a little bit.
Since the stuff does move around a little bit and has quite a bit of flex to it anybody got any ideas on the glue? I was thinking Barge Cement might work especially if I use cutlery rivets also.
If anyone has experience with this I would love to know what works the best for attaching horse mat handles.
