Very, very nice! Along with Legend's questions I was wondering if you had stabilized the wood and when you remove the bottom bolster of those 110s does it have much change in how they feel in the hand? I've got several 110s (who doesn't?) and find them to be almost heavy feeling when using them.

Looking good.
Are you stabilizing the cedar? I have made some cedar scales in the past that were soft on the wear.
Really like the quartersewn oak.

To answer questions, no I'm too primitive to do a tutorial. Yes, the wood was home stabilized. I don't believe wood needs plasticized. I simply remove the water and replace it with a solution that slows water absorption again. I've never found cedar to be very soft. The top layer is coated with cyanoacrylate. It improves the finish and toughens it up too.

Do you remove and peen the rear bolster pins back into place or do they remain secure? I plan to modify a 500 to a barehead.
Re: Custom 112 bareheaded
They stay tight but I center punch them anyway.

Those are unique and very beautiful! Great job.

Thanks for the reply, I had thought about using a center punch. Wish me luck, I'm stretching my capabilities with this notion.
