Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

I've been staring at the package since it arrived on 4/11. It's not my birthday yet but my wife had mercy and let me open it tonight.

I love it!
Nice! ::tu::

Y'all probably think all I do is sing for funerals but here's another gift from a widow of a friend I sang a couple for. Art Bell was 89 and passed in January of 2021. His wife, Florence had already given me a really nice, bone, Case stockman and now she found this near mint,1990 (X), Buck 314 Trapper. First one I've ever seen; didn't know Buck made trappers. It's a big, 4-1/4" hoss. Thanks Flo, and Art. R.I.P. J.O'.

VERY nice, J.O. ::tu:: What a piece of memorabilia from one of the greatest radio show host's of all time. That is a treasured piece. I didn't know Buck made a trapper either.

I apologize...I believe I'm thinking of the 'other' Art Bell.

The 314 Trapper was introduced in 1990 and production ended in 1998. In 1992, the spring rivet changed from brass to stainless steel. You have a nice example.

KLJ: Art owned a pretty big commercial plumbing/pipe laying operation. He was a bon-vivant of the highest order. I'm not kidding when I say he died a very young 89 year old. All good memories. J.O'.

Fresh from the mailbox. It's quite a bit lighter than a standard Buck 112 due to the aluminum frame. I'm very pleased with it.

Nice knife and pics. The engraving is really cool and very thoughtful. I assume Buck would be happy to swap the sheath if they have any USA sheaths.

It seems that some of them were and some of them weren't. Mine also came with a Mexican sheath but others are stating that theirs came with a USA sheath.

The Buck website states that the sheath is Imported. ::shrug::
