Thanks, OH. For $7, you can't beat it.Old Hunter wrote:Larry, I did take a “before” photo when I obtained the knife - it looked like an electric sharpener had been used to sharpen the blade. OH

Who said mint? I'm looking for a user . . .
Did Buck D/C this pattern recently ?
I really have no idea. Only became aware of the pattern last week . . .
Nice find. You are correct; it came smooth.Baykeeper wrote:Picked up my first red handled 300, a 1990 #303. Either it came smooth or it was heavily used, (the knife is in good condition so I suspect it came smooth). Why? Because it was red!! This one goes in for the spa treatment I think.
Thanks Bert, I suspected it came smooth. I don't know exactly why I popped for this one, not a significant year for me, (I like to commemorate family birth years with knives from that year), and I have several other varieties of the #303, guess I was just dazzled by the color. It breaks up the monotony of the 'ol Buck box if nothing else, (non SFO Buck box that is, they all live in a showcase). Now I have red #303, yellow #301 and a cool little #305 Clipper in blue.bertl wrote:Nice find. You are correct; it came smooth.Baykeeper wrote:Picked up my first red handled 300, a 1990 #303. Thanks Old Hunter, I'll add that to my "must have" list, it seems searching out all the colors and versions will be a life-long vocation.Old Hunter wrote:Nice red handled Buck 303 BK. There is also a red handled version with a Sawcut finish. OH
