Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

Larry, I did take a “before” photo when I obtained the knife - it looked like an electric sharpener had been used to sharpen the blade. OH

I bought a Buck 055 when they first came out, about 10 ? years ago. Never used it and now cannot locate it, but it is here, somewhere.

Picked up my first red handled 300, a 1990 #303. Either it came smooth or it was heavily used, (the knife is in good condition so I suspect it came smooth). Why? Because it was red!! This one goes in for the spa treatment I think.

Thanks Bert, I suspected it came smooth. I don't know exactly why I popped for this one, not a significant year for me, (I like to commemorate family birth years with knives from that year), and I have several other varieties of the #303, guess I was just dazzled by the color. It breaks up the monotony of the 'ol Buck box if nothing else, (non SFO Buck box that is, they all live in a showcase). Now I have red #303, yellow #301 and a cool little #305 Clipper in blue.

Thanks Old Hunter, I'll add that to my "must have" list, it seems searching out all the colors and versions will be a life-long vocation.

Now there's a pair to draw to. Did those come as a Twin-Finn type pair or were they bought individually? Handsome to say the least.

Thanks for the kind words. These are 1 off knives. AFAIK, they are the only 102/121 Cherrywood/aluminum knives ever made. The 121 has a 1997 date code but afaik it was made last week.

A friend went to Buck, pulled some strings and had them made for me. Kind of funny, they came in Buck boxes but no spec label. I've been working on a set now all I need is a 105. The 117 is a special knife too, only a handful of those were made.

Picked up a Buck 110lt. Definitely very light to carry wich is why I bought one. Very slight side to side blade play. You can actually feel the pivot pin on one side move around when moving the blade side to side. Also not the sharpest Buck I've gotten. Wouldn't shave hair but a decent working edge. Not overly impressed with this one.
