Bucklite 426 1987 > ?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. I picked this up dirt cheap the other day with its original camo pouch, i love it, going on its tang its a 87> model ? am i right ? ::tu::

i thought this one was a 422 johnny, what is the blade lench on the 422 is it the same scale as a 110 or a 112 ? i like the 428, i guess a light weight option , ::tu::

Paul, you are correct that is a 87.

Here is a Bucklite 422 one dot I have from the mid 70's . This may be the first version of it with this early tang. i havent seen one older.

Thanks guys, i read somewhere late 90's and then checked the stamp mark, > and saw it was 87 ::tu:: cool 422's guys 8) ::tu::

Just reading some info in the 422's
I read somewhere else that they did not even start making the 422's until about 1983.?
The post I was reading stated they started in 1983 with a 2 piece handle and 4 rivets and color was a maroon. Then about 5 years later they switched to a single piece handle with only 2 rivets.
If anyone has correct info,I would appreciate it.
I have one that only reads 422 no date make after and it is maroon color handle and 4 rivets.
