Big Big Bobber

Post by mrwatch »

A big ole Bobber by TONY SMITHS , MACATAWA BAIT COMPANY. He is a maker of collector only fishing lures. I got to know him and made a few pieces and parts on the wood lathe for him. including what is the center piece for these. But not for this one. Limited to only 18 by the man who made and painted this one. 17 inches long. made in 2003 Enjoy.

Thanks for the feed back. That is superb hand painting. For the tapered center piece, after I turned them on the big wood lathe he set a Shop Smith upright and center drilled through it and put the dowel rod in it. This was at the Seniors Center wood shop, in the early 2,000's.
