WW2 Camillus mark1 help identify

Post by Jedwin »

I am hoping that someone can identify a couple of knives that I’ve recently required. After purchasing them as WW2 I noticed that the opposite side of the blades were marked U.S.N but looking on the net I see most blades show U.S.N on one line but the second line saying Mark1. Are these WW2 era or are they later productions. I paid quite a bit for each because of the quality of the finish.

Here's everything Levine had to say about the Mk 1 twenty five years ago. They look pretty good. Good luck with them. J.O'.

Good info. I try and buy only quality knives. When I received them they looked too good to be from the 40’s era. The sheath on the bright blade does not seam to be correct though. I have seen that sheath with some mark 1’s but seams to be rare.
