I am eying one of these. It is either this or the Museum Replica Smatchet. Does anyone have any experience with these large Ontario pieces? ::shrug:: ::hmm::

Not familiar with the one of which you speak but I have an Ontario SP10 that seems to be a sturdy piece.Haven't used it yet but it looks well made.It doesn't photograph well due to the total blackness of the knife.

Mine arrived three days ago with a better (MOLLE compatible) sheath. I haven't done anything but take it to my Lansky honing steel. The 1075 High Carbon Steel has been hardened to between 57-59 Rc and should wear well under heavy use.
