Having trouble figuring this one out..

Post by Ribbit »

I first thought this was a M3 trench that had been modified by cutting/accidentally breaking the guard and the original pommel being missing.
I'm not so sure now. I saw something very similar (including the cut-down guard) on eBay.
Could this be a modified M4 bayonet.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I received this in a trade yesterday...

It is a post war knife made by Utica, supposedly and likely made from leftover blades from M3 knives. When in mint condition they will have a large KUTMASTER etch across the blade and they were all made for the civilian market. There are many of these knives around, hope you didn't give a lot in trade for it.
